Course Description: ELA B30 is an issue-oriented course that is organized around human concerns in a global society by using world literature in a comparative manner. Issue-based units in this curriculum are: The Human Condition Related issues: Identity and The Sense of Self; Human Relationships The Social Experience Related issues: Truth and Justice; Ambition, Power and the Common Good; Conformity and Non-conformity or Resistance. This course is delivered through the use of lesson and assignment booklets, and a final exam at the end of the course. Teachers are available throughout the day to assist students via person to person, telephone or e-mail. |
