Course Description:

 Unit 1 - Voici ce qu'on Connait Deja.

Students will review the grammatical concepts and themes of the last year.  They will create an activity or game which will serve as a comprehensive review of the grammatical concepts.

Unit 2 - Connaisance de Soi

Students will work through several reading, writing and speaking activities to identify personal strengths and weaknesses.  Topics covered include friends, personalities and decision-making skills.

Unit 3 - Vers une Carriere

Students will look at career choices.  They will research several trades and professions, create a resume and an application package for one they are interested in.  The final project will be a researched presentation on a specific career they would like to pursue.

Unit 4 - La Planification d'un Voyage

Students will go through the process of planning a vacation where they would be able to use French.   The final project will be a presentation including all pertinent information about their vacation destination including: hotels, historical sites, restaurants, culture, flight information, etc..

Course Description:

Unit 1 - L'autobiographie

Students will review grammar and vocabulary from previous years. Using verb tenses, passe compose and present, students will create a "scrapbook of memories".

Unit 2 - La Literature Enfantine

Students will look at several French children's stories.  They will create mini lessons and activities based on the vocabulary and themes of the stories.  The final project will include writing and illustrating their own children's story.

Unit 3 - Copains et Copines

Students will look at the theme of friendship.  Students will use new vocabulary and verb tenses to create a presentation describing themselves and their friends.

Unit 4 - La Consumerisme

Students will learn the basics of the consumer-advertiser roles.  Students will create and present an effective advertising campaign for a product.

Unit 5 - Le Permis de Conduire

Students will look at the French version of the Saskatchewan Driver's Handbook and go through the written components of acquiring a driver's license.
